FakturHuko - an alternative to Fakturoid
An invoicing system for freelancers. A system I built after Fakturoid told me they would raise my subscription to triple the price. I love Fakturoid, but I didn’t want to pay that much. So now I pay nothing, and my solution does what Fakturoid did for me, plus a few extra things. Easy invoice creation, invoice management, client lookup using only company ID, recurring invoices.

It was one of my first larger projects that I brought to a working state thanks to vibe coding. I was surprised myself that the chosen technologies and functionality seem stable, and that adding new features and adjusting existing ones can be done fairly easily. That is not always the case, because in projects I worked on later there were often situations where it was necessary to start from scratch and do things differently. With FakturHuko, a lot was gradually implemented, for example generating invoices to PDF is quite a challenge, especially in terms of design. Then there is the connection to the web version of the invoice with a link that can be sent to people, etc. I feel this project could still be refined a lot and many features could be added, but at the moment it serves me well, so the motivation would have to come from elsewhere.
